Do you take your sewing machine on holidays?

Cos, you know I am seriously considering it!

My mom's got one at home, so I don't have too. But a couple years ago I was away on an internship and she felt so bad for me that I didn't have a sewing machine, so she bought me a cheap machine that I sometimes use as a travel machine (so I don't care much if it gets beat up in commute!).

No, I learned to knit in three weeks so that I would not be left with time on my hands on a holiday recently. Really. That's true. And knitting is so easily portable and doable while travelling - not just when you arrive!

Seriously? Of course I do. I haven't taken it out of the country yet but it's made plane rides with me just fine.

I got a portable 5 stitches I take if I'm staying more than a month, otherwise it's only knit /crochet

You'd better have a portable one

I take hand sewing....I think I'd be divorced by husband and children if I took the machine :)
